Books and daytime tv - two things I can't go near as I go through my day!

For some reason blogging and Flickr do not make me feel guilty!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08578720378832806483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517387823567211648.post-70428793134842356082008-04-25T18:52:00.000+01:002008-04-25T18:52:00.000+01:00I'm afraid I've also lost the ability to read at n...I'm afraid I've also lost the ability to read at night. I've found that the best time for me to get things done is in the early afternoon--which means I pretty much only get to read on weekends!Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07197591307149394913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517387823567211648.post-36762312816358741002008-04-25T18:32:00.000+01:002008-04-25T18:32:00.000+01:00I regularly fall asleep whilst reading in bed - us...I regularly fall asleep whilst reading in bed - usually after about two pages. For the majority of the year I read before...oh yes. For the majority of the year I read before bed. During the summer if we go to the lake; my family knows that I only read. They go flyfishing, swimming, trail riding and I read. But, if we don't go away I don't afford myself the same luxery. I will have to work on that this year. I shall have to created "forced sit down in the garden and read time"RWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11391821500572006905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517387823567211648.post-78740248892783493732008-04-25T15:05:00.000+01:002008-04-25T15:05:00.000+01:00Oh how this resonates. Whenever I sit to read I feel guilty about the things I should be doing. I hate to read a book over a protracted time period too, so I would rather take a whole day to finsih the book. It seems frivilous...when I could be quilting!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517387823567211648.post-17357272903460264402008-04-25T10:42:00.000+01:002008-04-25T10:42:00.000+01:00I didn't read for years when the children were you...I didn't read for years when the children were young because I couldn't just sit and read and read. I do now, sometimes late into the night and then I can't get up in the morning. I think most Mother's would understand the guilt attached to reading a book from cover to cover the way I long too.carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02656637287438974853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517387823567211648.post-88575838386368466192008-04-25T08:10:00.000+01:002008-04-25T08:10:00.000+01:00I know exactly what you mean. There have been times, many times, when I have spent an awful long time just sitting on the sofa doing nothing rather than doing something for no other reason than doing something just for me.
My reading is also confined to a snatched half hour before I turn my bedside light off, more's the pity.dragonflyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03956813648763032057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-517387823567211648.post-92058398218047917992008-04-25T07:45:00.000+01:002008-04-25T07:45:00.000+01:00Sounds like a win-win situation to me!Sounds like a win-win situation to me!carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04038972194323564240noreply@blogger.com
