Joined Up Thinking

This is the house
where the Cook had no garlic.

She blames the Housekeeper
who is very inefficient.

The Housekeeper says that
the Cook should have let her know
when she had used the last one.

MrM is too hungry to notice
the fuss in the kitchen.

  2. I do not understand... what is the meaning of this phrase "had no garlic"???? How could one not have several dozen bulbs in the top of the woven sleeve, just so that there is always one to pull out from the bottom? Does the housekeeper not have a system?
MrM will have to be told!

  3. Thankfully, the housekeeper had now had the werewithall to purchase three cloves.

The staff here are hopeless too. One day I shall sack them.

  4. I am such a bad mother! destructoBoy has just looked at that picture and asked 'Is that what real garlic looks like?'

'Yes darling. That is what good mothers use instead of the lovely pre-crushed paste in a tube.'

  5. Ours is the kitchen with 3 jars of cinnamon because Mr DC always adds it to the shopping list and Mrs DC never checks whether we already have some.

  6. That happened to us a couple of weeks ago. Such an alien concept. There was a lot of scratching of heads when faced with cooking a dish without garlic...

  8. Lovely bowl, lovely garlic. What were you making? That reminds me that I must have the housekeeper pick up some yeast before the cook begins the bread today!

  9. It's hard to get good help :)

I keep a jar of diced garlic in the fridge. Can you buy it that way there? It is not as fresh but works in a pinch.
