If you are not yet fluent in Dzongkha, a useful phrase when you relocate might be Tashi delek. It roughly translates as "auspicious blessings of the radiant Buddha nature and complete and unfailing happiness to you". I think that means "Hello".

ReplyDeleteHa, this post reminds me of a few years ago when buying up French shacks to fix up was quite the thing amongst our friends and neighbours. My son, then three years old, announced on viewing the fixer-upper just purchased by some friends announced, "this is where the cows sleep".
