My Dilemma

I am

a mother

and a wife;

a cook, laundress and gardener;

and sometimes just myself.

I am also a salarywoman.

I have been asked to apply for a new job
and today, I have the interview.
When they ask me if I have any questions
I shall say

'Can you tell me where I am going to find
another two hours every day?'

Does your action-packed life leave any time for fresh adventures? On reflection, I am sure it does! Good luck whatever happens.

The thing is this: you are a woman, so in spite of not feeling that you've 2 spare hours in the day, they will be found.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll do just fine...

hope it goes well for you Alice, if it's something you really want to do, then somehow you will make time for it, even if other things are effected along the way..

Good luck for today, Alice. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be the right decision for you and your family.

Perhaps there are two hours under my sofa with my lost sock and the furball the hoover failed to collect. Must go and check. If I find them I'll be sure to send one to you.

It's good to be needed.

Good luck with your interview - how flattering to have been head-hunted for the position. I'm sure you will find the time if it's something that you want to do.

I do hope you tell them how essential it is for you to have adequate blog posting time though! First things first!

Gardening - that's the one you'll have to give up.

I'll cross my fingers (if you want me to).

Oh my word Alice do you work at Royal Holloway?! I studied medieval history there from '93-'96, I'd recognise that clock tower anywhere (I lived in Founders too).
All the very best for the interview, wishing you lots of luck.

Oooh! Good luck with the interview!
And the extra two hours? I stuck them in the bottom of your handbag. Underneath the tissues.

Alice, the interview has now come and gone - but if I'd read the post before, you would have had my best wishes. Wherever you end up, they will be lucky people to have you. xxoo
