The Cottage in the Woods

At this time of year
we stay in a tiny cottage
wedged in a wooded valley,
hidden from the road.

The outside is covered with roses
and the inside is filled with
interesting books
and wonderful things to photograph.

The owner leaves us gifts of
homemade cake and freshly laid eggs.

It is not a holiday
because we have many things to do
but we always find time to sit on the deck
and drink a glass of wine in the evening stillness.

Looks v. v. inviting. Inside and out.

What? What could you possibly "HAVE TO DO" that you cannot languish in that idyllic place?

Those roses are so beautiful. Wine would taste wonderful next to them.

Reading and enjoying your household and photography tips (have been away a couple of days) and wishing I could join you for a glass of wine in that idyllic setting!

"many things to do" would always seem more bearable in a setting like that!

Cottage already booked up for 2009 and 2010. Seemd daft not to really.

That look like the most perfect idyllic place... whether on holiday or with things to do.
