Walk through the gate in the wall
into the Topiary Garden.
Follow the soft grass paths to the summer house.
The little bridge will take you over the moat
to a rose garden, heavy with scent
and then down narrow corridors of yew
to the Secret Garden.
Take your time,
there is so much to say.

I (almost) felt as though I was there with you all - quietly listening to Miss M's talk of her adventure!
Oh Thankyou. I loved it, especially the gate in the wall. Where was I ?
Oh, magical in every way! I think that little summer house would make a perfect Room of One's Own...
It looks like a magical place to catch up on summer stories. Perfect!
Beautiful.
I like that I do not see people wearing overcoats too. That weather needs to persist for another four weeks.
What a beautiful setting for catching up.
What a beautiful post. It makes me want to get on a plane and come over. It is so lovely there!
Is that Levens Hall? I know there is spectacular chesspiece-style topiary there (as it's near my mum and dad). I love that gate in the wall - so inviting - and it was certainly worth passing through to the other side!
Please tell us where it is! I don't think it can be Levens Hall..its near me and it would be raining.
