MrsM finds a felted wool gilet that she feels is Just The Thing.
She knows that it will sharpen her casual image.
She is quietly confident.

You will have to be careful.
If it rains.
Otherwise you might start to smell.

So that's a No, then?
MissM
I didn't say that
but you must be pragmatic.

wise Miss M...I had to look up what a gilet is.
Mothers. Always the voice of reason.
Hmmm... if it is felted, it has already been washed, so it might well be that it is immune to the effects of rain..... do say you bought it anyway!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I live for these posts in which the Wise Sage Miss M dispenses loving-but-stern fashion advice. Not only do I need her to come tutor my firstborn in Hinduism, but also to see if she can make any sense of my wardrobe. It would be a herculean effort, but I think she's up to the task.
Pragmatic... pah! Hope you bought the gilet anyway. (Just don't wear it in the rain)
Hmmmm, the delicate aroma of wet sheep - not a great image. Miss M is right, as usual!
Oh God don't you just love them....
I long to sharpen my casual image. Perhaps one day eleven year old Miss Lush will aid me in my efforts. Presently, she's too much a tomboy to be of any help.
Always love virtually shopping with Miss M! She does give the best advice. K x
I too am wondering...I had to look that one up as well. Is it a vest? That is what Google images pulled up anyway. I am thinking that if it is felted it should be ok. But you could go with Gina and do not wear it in the rain :)
Sadly, it's a valid point...
