Christmas Shopping

Why are MrsM and MissM and Kristina
loitering around the bookstall on the South Bank?

Don't they know it is Christmas!
There is so much to do!

Food! Decorations! Presents! Wrapping!
Have they no sense of their responsibilities?

MrsM sees the ideal Christmas present...

but Kristina is not convinced.

MissM starts arranging the books
so that the covers match.

We could be here a little while.

It must be time for tea.

*****

p.s. look what came home with us...
thank you, Kristina, they were delicious!

Oh, I really really like this type of Christmas shopping.

Please ask Miss M if she would be interested in colour-matching my Grandpa's books. Miss Commentbox needs some help.

Lovely to meet Kristina!

Time can always be made for books, and should always be made for books.

Me, i just go weak at the knees when I see a set of Penguin orange spines together!

Sounds like the perfect shopping trip! (And I know I left this comment before but it isn't there now. Unless I'm living in an alternative universe ...)

Speaking of alternative universes (as Val was just now), I would like to inhabit the one where people go for leisurely book browses in mid-December. How very sane!

I *love* orange-spined Penguins. There's just something so promising about them.
