Why should the urgent necessity
to photograph THIS flower on THAT plate
arrive in my brain, fully formed?
I may NOT finish the coffee that I am drinking.
I may NOT consider alternatives:
it MUST be THIS flower on THAT plate.
And so the cofeee is left to cool
in the sunny kitchen,
the camera is found,
the flower picked
the plate washed.
And then the photo is taken.

I love that photo. I find it quite poignant, actually--maybe because my grandmother had plates like that.
...and what a beautiful photo it is. I am so glad you let your coffee go cold.

Well worth the effort. I hope you made a fresh cup of coffee afterwards.
I also love the photo.
It's china that I also have, but a pansy I have not...
You can always make more coffee and we thank you for sharing the beautiful image.
They are both beautiful...the pansy and the plate. A good match.
I never had this feeling before I started blogging--but now I can completely relate! K x

As usual.
This post has me giggling because in my brain, I'm saying 'sometimes you can't help acting on impulse' like in the advert of years ago...
Not quite deoderant, but impulse all the same...
Sorry, it's been a long day!
Sometimes you just have to!
I recognise that plate pattern..is it Calico?
