Christmas Shopping

Yesterday I had a day off work to do Christmas Shopping.

This was my day:

Haircut
Talk to nice lady about upholstery
Post Office
Talk to nice man about picture framing
Take artistic photographs of moss
Scrub dining room floor
Reorganise personal filing

It is amazing what you can achieve
When you are trying to avoid doing
something boring.

These are the days we discover that we really MUST alphabetise the pantry.

Christmas shopping is only boring if you plan to buy things. In-store and streetside 'Christmas window shopping' can be great fun.

Go on line - I do most of my shopping for Christmas online now and it is often beautifully wrapped as well...

I was wondering where you fit taking artistic pictures of moss, and such, into your daily schedule. I mean, gosh, WE are busy photographing crappe in the drug store.

I went Christmas shopping today - I went in 4 shops, got overwhelmed, went and had a cup of tea and came home with nothing! You got loads done!

Love Christmas shopping if I don't actually have to make a decision and choose a prsent for someone so I guess what I'm saying is that I like Christmas Window Shopping.

You mean you really don't like the annual battle with the crowds, clutching your shopping list (which you leave at the counter in the very first shop), getting your toes trodden on as you beat a path to the display of this year's "must have" gift, struggling to carry an ever increasing haul of store bags as you mentally cross off items on what you hope were on the list and then at the end of the day forgetting where you parked the car? Strange.

I had a shopping and haircut day planned for Monday. Unfortunately germ ridden kiddlies put paid to it. I did find some decent stuff in Waitrose though - I always like presents you can either eat or use up. I am becoming my mother!

I got inspired at lunch time yesterday and found things for some of the extended family. I am debating about Christmas decorations though ..i was thinking i would wait until someone noticed. I doubt if they will notice which means maybe we won't have a tree either. I can't wait to see the pictures of moss (if you post them..sounds lovely).
