Five things you need to know about MissM

1. She has caramel blonde hair and beautiful nails.

2. She follows the career of Mr. Collins with interest.

3. She has an encyclopaedic knowledge of fairy tales
and this is her role model:

4. She has a close relationship with a hawk called Wexford.

5. She loves clothes
and this was the dress that she wore to her first party

*****
But now there are presents to unwrap

and midnight feasts to organise

because today MissM is 16.

A fabulous age to be! Old enough to know your mind and stand your ground, but also to be soft and gentle towards the sensibilities of others.

Happy day to you MissM.

Happy Birthday MissM! And I love both the book and the movie, although I have to admit Mr. Collins doesn't interest me nearly as much as Mr. Darcy....or Collin Firth in anything for that matter!! :)

Thank you all for your kind messages to MissM. It feels as though balloons have gone up all over the world today for my beautiful, funny, clever daughter. She really has been Queen for the day.

Happy belated birthday to your beautiful MissM! They grow so fast, don't they?

And -- I am to touched that you shared her first "party dress" with us. That's enough to make me weep, as I have one of mine hanging in my daughter's closet right now!
