A Conspiracy of Silence

'fess up you lovely knitting ladies...
Why didn't you let me in on the secret?

I have knitted with aluminium needles for years...

But now I have discovered bamboo.
- sigh -

The Kid Silk Haze glides, my friends,
it positively glides off those needles.

Even MissM has noticed the joyous abandon
with which I am knitting.

My aluminium needles?

They are off to join the steel pins with the hand carved case
in the knitting needle museum.

I just discovered the joy of bamboo last winter! I used super big needles in bamboo but I have never used the smaller ones? Do they make small ones?

I used to knit in bed in the evening. That's why K bought me bamboo needles. The clicking kept him awake.

Wow, Alice! You do REAL knitting!! In the next day or two I'll show you what I've been knitting. Your lace is so pretty (not to mention perfect!).

Looking beautiful Alice. Lovely needles are part of the joy of the experience (or so I told myself as I parted with a wodge of cash for the latest acquisition).

I've not moved to bamboo yet, but if it means you can need with that super fine wool I can see I shall have to have some. Gorgeous laciness (careful, you'll be a craft blogger before you know it!)

no one told me either, but I do have some wooden ones which have a reassuring feel to them.
