We've had snow! Very exciting, but it didn't stick. Now half the famly have gone off to ride on a steam train, and the rest of us are indulging in quiet and peaceful computer time. Bliss.

I am sorry to be pedantic butEaster Saturday is NEXT Saturday; this is Easter Eve or Holy Saturday! By the way, I am glad you like Susan Hill's novel 'In the Springtime of the Year' - it is a lovely book and one which i have quoted from quite often, particularly about the dresssing of the graves.
