Goats' Cheese and Spinach Flamme

I am not going to pretend that I made this:

It has been a busy week with lots of driving,
shirts to be ironed for formal events
a late night dash when MrM missed the last train home,
and enough rain to sap the morale.
I feel quite distracted by the list of things
that have to be done over the next month.

At least I chopped the tomato.

*****
MrM entertained me greatly yesterday
by suggesting alternative titles for the post:

The Bow-Wow Factor
I'm the Furriest of Them All
Yankee Doodle Poodle
The Dog's B&&$*#%
Give me the Fur of a Yorkshire Terrier

I explained that although they were Very Funny
they Lowered the Tone.
He replied "I think the Pun-ters would be amused"

Speaking of punters, albeit of a different kind, the sun is out in Cambridge and the river is calling ...

A low tone could be amusing...

Yum, looks good - I reckon you could have claimed to have made it yourself and we'd have believed you! Sounds like a very busy week - good that you've got MrM to put a smile on your face and lighten the load a little.

There were a few more but I can't remember them all. Probably just as well.

DC - I trust you are using the wooden punt poles rather than the aluminium rubbish. If you are really organised you will be the puntee rather than the punter of course.

punter: London slang for costumer, may also be used for "johns" (among prostitutes and police agents), people who watch porn movies or go to strip joints regularly.
However in polite company, one who bets (on horse races), or visits your retail establishment.
Someone who is ill-informed and liable to be taken advantage of. A sucker who lacks inside knowledge or savvy.

Wondering which definition fits me best.

We've had far too much morale-sapping rain here lately, too. But the roses seem to like it. Relishing the sunshine now!

A low tone is always amusing on a Saturday night! (Well, now that I know what a punter is). Mr. M is quite funny. I hope the sun shines for you soon!

mmm... now I'm hungry.

And yes... my Mr M always try to mingle in my posting... but when I try suggesting he'd start his own blog he looks at me as if to say he's way above such a thing.

I think he's jealous. And scared.

I like "The meaning of life, in black and white" myself...

And Dottycookie, at first post, I hear the Cam calling.... it's been five years since I was back on the backs.... Wish I was back now...
