Sal wonders what I have on my bedside table
and the answer is ...not much.
The truth of it is that by the time I get to bed
I am so exhausted
that I shut my eyes and go fast asleep.
However, I have just bought some new bed linen
at a bargain price
from Laura Ashley in their sale
and the pretty embroidery and crochet edging
delights me in that brief, brief moment
before my eyes close.

that is so pretty! It makes me want to go to bed.
What Columbia Lily said! They're exquisite!
That is beautiful bedlinen.
Oh wow - I love white bedlinen - especially when it is as pretty as this...
And you have a professionally-trained bedmaker on your team too. Why wouldn't you want to fall straight to sleep?
It is so beautiful. I would love to put something like that on my bed but I would not let my Pete put his head onto it...
If someone showed me that bedlinen and asked who's it was, it could only be yours! It's beautiful.
I can only have white bedlinen...
Very pretty bed cover! I love Laura Ashley! I am thiking poppy is not allowed on the bed!
I need to check with MrsM what the thread count is ...
We share your taste and purchased similar white linen for pillows, duvet and bottom sheete before Christmas. You will want a new bed next!
What exquisite bed linen.................. Laura Ashley do wonderful products don't they................ your purchase looks very elegant............ lovely.
Classy, Mrs M. But you know what they make me think? Ironing. Which is why 80% of the bed linen in this (less elegant) household is cotton jersey.
oh, those ARE lovely...
It's gorgeous and once again I must compliment you on the wonderful style and presentation of your words. You blog always read so well, both mentally and physically. Beautiful work Alice.
Your photo of the new bed linens makes me very, very sleepy...zzzzzzz.
Oops.
I think I dozed off there for a second.
Where was I?
Oh, yes...
I'll bet you have nice dreams sleeping with such pretty linens.
I would expect noting less than that sweet bedlinen
in a bedroom of someone like you.
On my bedside table is....a lot of dust!
Hi Mrs M
I enjoy reading your blog and about how you met Tracey from Imagine that quilts and about MasterM as he embarks on his travels. You have a lovely crisp style of blogging and a good sense of humour too. Thank you for doing the bedside tag - I've had a lot of fun watching everyone take part and I too love that bedlinen! :-) with love doolallysally x
