Shopping with My Family

MasterM needs shoes.
He REALLY needs shoes
because he has been too busy to go shopping
and his shoes have achieved a level of designer decay
that even he finds disgusting.

MissM has agreed to provide style guidance,
MrsM will provide the money
and MrM has come to act as enforcer.

And so we are all on an escalator, going up.

Ahead of me my son is making my daughter laugh.
I turn to my husband
and he smiles at me.

and I think...

"This is what it is all about."

And we are all on the escalator right behind you.

You always remind me of what the beautiful moments of life can actually be.

In a house where mine seem to be perpetually bitching at each other at present those sort of moments are so special

There are several pairs of designer decay in this house.
Plus one shiny new pair for school, still looking nice after a whole week...

I got a bit nervous when I saw the post title included shopping (remembering the bag incident!)...

It is so easy to find the beautiful moment in a story about decaying shoes in the Magpie house.

I do like the idea of an enforcer being required on shopping expeditions.

Was MrM wearing dark glasses? Mr Coffee would love to be An Enforcer I think.

You are so right about that :)
I love those little moments.

Sadly, in our family those jewel like moments are rapidly followed by 'No! No! Walk off the escalator properly! You'll get your feet stuck!'

Shoe shopping for offspring. Fun.

Mutually exclusive in my book. I look forward to this new exciting phase.
