Off Gallivanting

MrM
Would you like a weekend in Venice in January?
MrsM
No...because we need to use the money
for that Boring but Important thing

Next Day

MrM
If we use our AirMiles
would you like a weekend in Venice in January?
MrsM
No...because you will get distracted
by all the guide books
and not organise that Boring but Important thing.

Next Day

MrM
Glen and Mary and James and Tricia
are going to Venice
and they are VERY DISAPPOINTED
that we are not going.
MrsM
Hmmmm.....

And so it is that we are going to Venice this weekend
with our very good friends

Glen and Mary and James and Tricia

and 12 guidebooks.

I know.
I am weak.

What about the boring but important thing???

As you fly over Paris on Monday morning give a wave to my very tired girl....

I will omit mention of the boring but important item but it is worth mentioning that I have organised a special day trip outside Venice on Saturday as an integral part of the whole visit. This is in the essential but not boring category. There will be about five hundred people engaged on the same mission I think.

Mr M - now we are even more confused/bemused/intrigued as to what you are upto, don't forget to take your head out of the guide books, and actually look around!!!

I wish my hubby would talk me into a weekend in Venice more often. Actually, even a day trip to Bognor would be fine.

Have a truly spectacular time.

I'm jealous! (But I am planning to go away by myself to hang out with a friend at the end of this month and am looking forward to it.)
