In which MasterM REQUESTS his mother's Fish Pie and his mother realises that she has waited her WHOLE life for this moment and has to resist the urge to leap off the sofa and HUG him.
I'd love your recipe for fish pie (if it's not a secret one that is!). I'd never seen one before moving to England, and I think it looks so delicious. And I know my husband would love me to give it a try, too!
So could we compare recipes? Well, i guess I'll just go out and google fish pie recipes. I have never heard of it before BB's post and yours. I bet its because i live in the midwest of USA. It looks very good by the way. I make tunafish casserole (er i mean "hotdish") which no one in my family would eat if i told them it was tuna so I tell them its chicken. They can't tell. : )

I never remember to run my fork through the potatoes like that.
And my work suffers for it.
I also heard him say, "I love you Mum and thanks for all those meals you've made. I appreciate you and all of your efforts."
Didn't you?
Mmmm, yummy! I hope you'll share the recipe. And do I spy your famous broccoli, too?
Could you please move in with us, and cook all our dinners?
I'd always request the fish pie and I'd also remember to thank you for your effort.
That looks seriously delicious.
Right that does it!
I am coming to England just for your fish pie - well for you too of course but that fish pie would be a great bonus!
Fish pie has always been one of our favourites (made to special recipe from my Lincoln mother-in-law) - and not just on Good Friday!
priceless
Congratulations indeed!
We're having fish pie tomorrow. Yum.
I love Fish Pie - all other members of the Bebbington household HATE fish - hence I never make it - I'm on my way round for tea :o)))

Oh that looks lovely - any chance of you sharing the recipe? Fish Pie is something I've been meaning to try.
Alas, after looking at your lovely pictures, can you please post your recipe for a seafood lover north of Boston (Massachusetts that is!)
