Keeping It Real

Let's not kid ourselves...

Friday night is takeaway night.

MrM says:

"Please send a menu for three
and, by the way,
what are we getting?"

MrsM says:

"I have barely got the strength
to take the lids off."

MissM says:

"No...
I absolutely won't smile for the camera...
I'm STARVING"

I LOVE take out, which i useful given that I live in an area where its abundant
Chinese is definately my favourite, but the lovely doesn't like it much which makes it even more of a treat when i get some :D
Saying that the curries are pretty darned fab here too!

I'm a take out fan too but especially if they deliver. we have lots of options here too- Mexican, Thai, Chinese and Italian. All very good but the one we do most often is pizza. They have a one person lasagna that's excellent and I often wonder why I don't save the little dishes and make up my own. Maybe someday...

You get big points for using real dishes. I would be scarfing it out of the styrofoam myself...

I am impressed and stunned that you are:

1. sitting at a table rather than slumped on the sofa; and
2. have transferred the food into proper dishes.

Takeaway nights here are not nearly so civilised. I was about to say that breakfast times are more genteel for us but then I saw Tiny Small drinking milk from her cereal bowl and realised I was writing comments until the toaster pops and suddenly I am aware that I'm sadly mistaken. Sigh.

I'm with dottie cookie on points 1 and 2.
We have only onbe rather dubious looking chinese takeaway in our vicinity which I don'r really fancy, but I do miss it. I used to live in a more cosmopolitan area years ago.

We have no take-out, or Chinese, or Mexican, or ANYTHING.

I haven't had Chinese in ages. I must rectify this.

for 2 years in our house Friday night was egg and chips night, it saved me from even thinking about what to cook, and even if we had guests.... then we progressed to takeaway curry for 3 or 4 years....... these days sometimes by Friday I can just about cook beans on toast. and I'm soooo impressed you had the dedication to photograph it.

ps. are there special takeaway dishes?
