Anemone blanda

After a long winter
I glimpse sunshine
on blue anemones
and I know that
it is time to return
to the garden.

There is much to do.

Wow, that's exquisite. I spent most of the day gardening, but I don't have actual blooming things yet...

very cool. I love that I can read what is happening in your world on Friday while it is still Thursday night here.

I cannot believe we are expecting an arctic front this weekend - I found a few snowdrops in my front yard. I fear they might not survive the weekend

There is indeed a lot to do. Mr M is head gardener, whilst I am chief weeder and frog relocater! Have a lovely weekend. Cat x

What a gorgeous photo, Alice. Don't know whether I'm more in awe of the blue anemone...or the sunlight. (It's been a dark week here in Deutschland.)

Oh I know! I went to water my neglected pelagoniums in the heated greenhouse this afternoon and as I wandered back down the garden I was shocked to see the amount of weeds springing up, primulas trying to push their pretty little heads through the dead leaves, so so much to do!

So much to do in my messy garden and I so much want to do it but I'm not going to be here!

Yes, the buddleia is staring at me reproachfully. Hacking is good for the soul. Hoping for a dry weekend.

It feels like I was there just yesterday and yet a whole season has gone by!
