Bought because they were beautiful...

What to do now?

Anyone for fairy cakes?

I know, I know, I KNOW!! I did the same a few years ago, fully intending to "do" a water colour of them, but never did. Aren't they just so wantable though? x

They are certainly beautiful and worth buying just for blog candy! I feel that if you decide to make fairy cakes, they should be especially dainty in size.

eat them! they are delicious lightly boiled with various antipasti meats, pickles and other Italian delights with crusty bread for supper.

Good thing my boys aren't around otherwise you'd just have empty eggshells!
Boil, peel, rock salt with pepper and celery salt. Yum yum.

I love quail's eggs. They're great in a salad with warm chicken and croutons. A great summer dish.

I'd hard cook them - then put them in a special something (dish, with a name, perhaps?) and lay them on the dining table to admire.

If you're truly stuck, send them here. My children love the smallness of them and are very rarely allowed to have them.

I usually boil them but I think I would like to see a picture of a fried one ...

We have quail and they are quite delightfulcreatures. The eggs are good boiled if you can contemplate shelling them all, my husband loves them. He sometimes pickles a far (yeuch, I hate pickled eggs). They are also adorable fried on a warm salad.

they are wonderful hard boiled (cold) with a little salt, a rocket salad and bread and butter....yum...
