A Kaleidoscope of Gladioli

I love the bold statement of Gladioli;
petals as vibrant as wax crayons
unfurling slowly from day to day.

cobalt

carmine

glacier white

canary

chartreuse

(NOT lime, I am SO over lime)

I had no idea you could get gladeoli in such fabulous colours

What a wonderful blue - do you grow them? I've never seen that shade in M&S!

I missed them this year at my market - even though they were only $4 a bunch I was on austerity...
yours are beautiful!

Lovely. My only argument with gladdies is how quickly they look untidy in the border. Next year I am planning to grow them on the allotment and harvest them so it won't matter!

What gorgeous flowers, Alice. My favorites are the cobalt ones.

no lime? not even in your G+T?

Gladioli never look to me like a plant. So upright. I'm intimidated by them - like immaculate women with polished bobs. Scary

I love how you call that colour Carmine instead of Bright Pink, makes me love it even more. Ditto the "Chartreuse" , where do you get these words from?! They are almost as beautiful as the flowers themselves.

Love chartreuse. My long-neglected bicycle is chartreuse. In fact, I even named it: Charlotte. (Perhaps I sensed I'd be birthing only boys someday...) It's okay that you're over lime -- just don't ever get over magpies, okay?
