Don't try this at home

MrsM falls in the bath, badly.
Very badly.
Resulting in attractive yellow and black bruises
And severe pain when doing anything requiring a right arm.
The friendly doctor at A&E said it happens all the time
And it will heal over the next three weeks.

So listen up good people...don't use Smooth and Sleek shampoo
It is slippery.

And in other news

The Lovely MissE is mingling with elephants

MasterM is immersed in his French A Level coursework

(and counting the days until MissE returns)

MissM is lecturing MrsM on Buddhist meditation

(did you know that Craving leads to Suffering?)

MrM has been making exciting plans on Expedia

It is nice to have something to look forward to...

That baby elephant................. I want one just that size.......... with just that expression......... and just that cuddliness!
Sorry to hear about your injury, you must be so pissed off, and it sounds very painful.......... I wish you a speedy recovery. Big hug.

Oh yes craving leads to suffering and then excitement and happiness when you get what you crave. Well sometimes, if you have craved wisely....
Sorry about the accident, I suppose one has to look on the bright side, you could have banged your head, knocked yourself out, drowned and Mr M could now be the no 1 suspect in a murder case instead of planning an exciting trip.
Oh dear I think I've been watching too much CSI!
Hope the bruises soon fade, both arnica and compfrey are awfully good for bruising provided the skin isn't broken.
Take care.

Oh OUCH Alice - that sounds very painful. Hope the drugs do the trick and the bruises fade quickly (anyone reading this out of context would be horrified).

Lovely elephants. Lucky Miss E!

I'm so sorry to read that you have been hurt...ARNICA! In gel form and homeopathics for under your tongue. Guaranteed to soothe and heal bruises.

Feel better soon and just stare at that cute little elephant until you do.

If craving leads to suffering, I am in some BIG trouble, as I am craving banana bread, chocolate, pickles, creamsicles and fried shrimp. Does the suffering come from not allowing yourself to have all of that at once? Or maybe craving smooth and sleek hair leads to a fall in the tub which creates suffering?

oh poor you, hope you feel better soon, and it's always a bit embarrassing when you injure yourself doing some everyday thing - , I've slipped in the bath before and it was very painful, and no one was the least bit sympathetic, whereas people who do dangerous things like skiing are always getting sympathy for their injuries - makes no sense to me....

I am very unhappy about the bruising. The bruises could at least have had the decency to come up in better colours.

All else (except French A level) sounds very good indeed.

Can't wait to find out where you are going!

I am wincing at the thought of slippery shampoo.

speedy recovery to you.

Any clues on the tickets??

Poor you Alice.

I find wine to be almost as good for bruises as arnica. And chocolate. And shopping.

Because I find that if you indulge your cravings fully, there's precious little suffering.

Ouch! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery and a fantastic holiday!

Craving only gives way to suffering if you do not give in to it! Clearly I have not been suffering too much lately but as Spring closes in, I will have to suffer more.

So very sorry about your fall ... but you are too funny about the shampoo.

May you quickly return to a more attractive colouring.

Ouch -- I'm now a year after having slipped and broken my right arm, and it was awful. Commiserations: get better soon, I hope.
Just don't start developing cravings for the painkillers:-)
