My cooking has gone down the drain recently.
It has seemed such an effort to think of recipes...
shop in advance...
prepare the ingredients...
wait for them to cook...
It has been like this before
in the life of our family.
We haven't starved.
There comes a moment when you are ready
to move back to real food.
Leek and Potato soup for a cold 'summer' day
I was inspired by Ramona's photo of Bouquet Garni
That was the tipping point for me.

Yummy! I have to get back to my regular cooking scedule. I have been slacking a bit! :)
It looks delicious! What is it?
oh. hello. thanks for that.
what have you got going on in the tureen?
Looks delicious - I miss soups in summer. I don't feel like cooking at the moment either - must be the weather!
I'm still waiting for the tipping point :) K x
I go like that from time to time as well. Currently in a very anti food shopping phase as I cannot concentrate with the 2 voice commentary in the supermarket. I grab, run and then wonder how I'm going to make a meal from the nonsense I have tossed in the trolley.
Yum. I could happily eat a bunch of parsley. On it's own...
didn't all the Gauls stick parsley in their ears in Asterix ? What was wrong with cotton wool ?
Gawd. Wonder what my tipping point will be?
Perhaps leek and potato soup?
I get that way. Then I spend an hour making chicken enchiladas and we devour them and I am rewarded.
We're in disarray here, that's for sure. Eating out too much, not getting enough veggies...and it's WAY too hot to cook!
Really-delicious-looking soup there - I have these phases too. At the moment I'm depending on anything the garden can offer up along with the tomato sauce Mr Pebble has frozen down.
Well, after reading this and the next post about the week you've had, I definitely think that you need to make some limoncello! It will get you back in the kitchen --- it doesn't take more than a few minutes to take the rind off the lemons, and then it's just a case of waiting a few weeks --- and it will be a nice way to recover on a Friday afternoon, say two weeks from now...
Go on, emulate Orlando!
