Facing Up To Reality

There comes a time when you have to let go of your dreams.

You have to accept that the moment for
the Greeting Card Designer has passed

That your children will NEVER
create a masterpiece with Blopens

And you can throw away the Glitter Crayons.

The Fabric Crayons might still be useful
... and look!! there are two packets
so they won't argue...

Hope never dies.

It's amazing how many creative projects that I've collected. I suppose we all need to focus on the things we are best at.

But you can't throw away the glitter crayons! They are so cool. We didn't have those when I was a kid. Makes me want to colour!

I was just in my "attic" - well it is more like a crawl space under the roof....anyhow... I have stored so many toys up there... cars and tons of hard plastic animals-sea creatures- stuffies- the lego still sits in my son's room. That is not going anywhere anytime soon!

I need to do another little clear out too. It's amazing how arts and crafts supplies multiply. But you simply can't get rid of the glitter crayons! It was one of my favorite parts of nannying: doing coloring! K x

I still have things like that lurking in a dresser in the kitchen - blowpens and glitter crayons!

I do a clean through of all the kids accumulated bits and pieces every 6 months or so.

There are some things that I just can't let go of - usually their soft toys!

blow pen / petri dish, I see very little difference between the two. There could be lots of genetic materials within those pens.

Oh don't get rid of the crayons! You never know when you might need them. Sometimes I sit down with little E and color. It feels good to do it.

I have been needing to get rid of all our baby things. I can't make myself do it. I know I will never need them again but yet they are still there! :(

Blopens -- HA! That photo just cracks me up. (I need to look into the whole fabric crayon thing -- there are worlds of potential there...)

Yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly I had to entertain a 20month year old boy. I suddenly and unexpectedly remembered an old biscuit tin full of crayons that my Little People haven't touched in a long time. I was soooooooooooooooooo grateful I had not chucked them out, they saved the day. You never know when such things will come in very very useful indeed. And yes, my house is very very messy indeed, groaning with so much accumulated stuff.
xx
ps my Mum still has toys of mine saved from my childhood 30+yrs ago, so I blame her completely, shes passed on some hoarding gene to me obviously.

You can send those blowpens my way, every time the kids see them on tv, they squeal!
