A Day Without Rain

We were over optimistic, MissM and I,

we set off in sunshine

to buy bikinis and shorts

and little black peep-toe shoes

but we soon realised that

we should have taken umbrellas.

The weather NEVER cooperates with me when I go on an excursion like that.

Well, the images you captured are breathtaking, so I am glad you went out (even if you did have a rain cloud follow you around!)

You should never mock the weather with talk of bikinis and shorts!

Buying summer gear definitely puts some of the blame on the hideousness of the half-term weather firmly at your door.

I think next week I'm going to knit a balaclava.

Oh, the rain and storms here in Germany last night...and more to come today.

The dog kept me up all night, with his howling downstairs. Now I'm shuffling around with my eyes half-open, hearing the siren song of the bed calling me back upstairs.

Oh my word those gorgeous blooms.

Somehow bikinis and England are not two words I would naturally put together! I assume this is for Africa!

somehow when I read this I got the lines muddled up, and had images of you shopping in the rain whilst wearing bikinis, shorts, and peep- toe shoes!

Just be thankful you weren't at the Bath and West Show here in Somerset - we never go because it always tips it down! - plus once you've seen one tractor you've seen 'em all - I should know husband #1 was a farmer

What gorgeous spring flowers! I never remember to bring my umbrella, I'm afraid.
