Harlequins v London Irish,
Guinness Premiership Semi-Final
We arrived too early
and there was nothing to do
except stand in the sunshine and enjoy a drink,
consider the retail opportunities,
watch the team warm-up,
and admire the scenery.
*****
It was a shame about all those pink flags
because Twickenham will be green next Saturday.
A reliable source told me that
London Irish ordered 10,000 flags
'just in case...'
We will be there - it should be quite an occasion.

Oh yes, I do enjoy fabulous scenery.
Looks like a fun game!
That Mr Kennedy's getting to be quite a poser! Good luck against Leicester next week :o)
Enjoy the scenery indeed! Naughty girl!
Good luck London Irish! I shall make a green flag to wave from the comfort of my armchair.
What fabulous scenery :D

mmm. the "scenery."
boooo
we like the 'cherry and white' team, we do.
Did I ever tell you of my two encounters with Rugby when I lived in Twickenham? The first one was 1969 when I was a patient in isolation at the South Middlesex Hospital. I lay in my xl nightie, about twenty sizes too big for my 6 and a half stone frame in those days and I could see the stand from my bed. I heard the varsity match that year.
Second: two years later as a waitress on a big match day..no idea who was playing.
I'm sorry, MrsM, but the training Quin (who later came on as 22) made better scenery than Mr Kennedy and he was right under my nose down in the front row with the rabble. Had you not been up in the clouds with MrCat you too could have enjoyed the view!
