in the blue and white Fruit Bowl
and so MrsM gets out the
blue and white Mixing Bowl
and makes an orange cake*
for the blue and white Cake Plate.
*Inspired by Kristina and the "Best Cake Ever".
My recipe is by Vicky Musselman
and was originally published in Good Food
but I cannot source it online.

The cake looks so lovely with the glaze! I must remember that for next time.
And I love your Burleigh mixing bowl.

An intervention may be in your future.
That's it. I'm coming to your house.
What time is morning tea?
With very sophisticated squiggly icing.
too many oranages, no way, you don't fool me, you just wanted cake and had to justify it...
Oh Driftwood no. One never has to justify cake ;-)
Mrs M, how I love Burleigh.
Mrs M I think you may be a closet quilter - that icing looks suspiciously like free motion quilting to me - put the kettle on it's too delicious to resist
That cake looks like it is worth buying an excess of oranges. Lovely blue and white china.
oh no! the icing is dripping onto the plate!
Can I put in an early order for a dragonfruit birthday cake ? Comes with integral candles presumably
you sophisticated lady you...
(I'm in love with that mixing bowl)
I'm in the middle of making a bllue and white quilt and a blue and white cushio cover - swap you?
blue and white is one of the best combinations - nearly (but not quite) all my crockery is blue and white, and when I use it it makes me smile
xxx
ps. I was inspired by kristina's cake too
I have the same disorder :)
